Now, a year later, the studio's decided to play matchmaker from hell: they’re demanding not just another movie, but that we pretend to be happier than ever, too.

Nick and I used to be the golden couple of Hollywood. The public loved the movies we made together, and privately, we were so ridiculously in love that the papers dubbed us The Happiest Couple in Hollywood. But that was before Nick torpedoed our marriage with his stupid antics and blew out of town like his tail was on fire.

Now, a year later, I'm at the mercy of the studio after a career-threatening flop. They’ve given me an ultimatum: make another movie with Nick or kiss my career goodbye. And just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, they also insist we play house in our old love nest for the press.

To add to that, the movie we’re making is beset with problems. There’s one mysterious accident after the other and it’s only luck that Nick and I haven’t ended up in the hospital yet.

The worst thing, though?

The more time I spend with Nick, the more I remember all the reasons I fell for him in the first place. Given our history, I know shouldn’t let him close again, but people change. Don’t they?

I’m not sure. And with both my career and my heart on the line, I can’t afford to make another mistake.

The Happiest Couple in Hollywood is the first book in the Tinseltown Twenties series, and can be read as a total standalone. It’s a steamy second chance romantic comedy set in the glitz and glamor of 1920s Hollywood. It features a dirty-talking golden retriever hero, a grumpy heroine who is so (not) over him, lots of banter, plenty of bootleg booze, and, obviously, a HEA.
